Hugo, I am having a bad week... I am feeling manipulated, and used. In
the past I would have said it can only happen if you let it - so I
don't know what has happened to me. Perhaps I have been tricked into
certain actions because of my kindness and sensitivity. This tells me I
must always be on my guard. I must learn from this, but it is so sad
when you have to be on the defensive isn't it. In an ideal world it
would be different, and one could "design" one's friends and
associates...
Today I am wishing I was living on that desert island, where palm fringed beaches stretch out to a warm and relaxing sea, reaching all the way to an unbroken horizon. The warm sun touches my skin, and I can feel the sand between my toes, as I wander alone around my kingdom. Humankind was however designed to mix with our own, so I am sure I would soon miss the company of others? Perhaps a robotic companion would be the ideal answer - no arguments, no emotions and no trouble? Has you seen one of these on eBay yet? |

| Monday 4 January, 2010 I can understand why people only talk to animals...
Some people are so petty and lacking in decency that they horrify me. Today I am almost at the point of not talking to a "friend". It has gone on for so long, and I have tolerated so much bad stuff. I can't continue any longer. I have tried to analyse the situation so many times, but now despair. I have had so many high hopes, but at every level am constantly let down... I have tried so many times - by example, by comment and criticism, but my words have fallen on stony ground. I have examined whether it is me or another, and have finally decided that there is no future for this state of affairs. Some people don't deserve my friendship, so why should I waste it like this. There are many more deserving cases that I could also benefit from. It is time I got something back, instead of giving the whole time. I don't think I am being selfish when I say this, it is just that there has to be a line drawn somewhere, and this is it. There is a time when a decision like this has to be made. When a friendship is such a one sided struggle it is time to withdraw. Do you often wonder why others can't be like yourself? Well, I've given up wondering in this instance, and will pursue my own direction. I will be happier without the jealousy, wish to control, and a dozen other negatives... Anyone want a good friend. |

Happy New Year from me Last night I went to bed early, but was woken around midnight by the noise of fireworks - this is really scary for me, and I was glad when it ended. I had to wear headphones to block out the noise. I am making New Year resolutions, and thinking of getting a warm coat to combat the horrid cold weather - I will never get used to it. I had lots of Christmas cards and some great presents, but I am looking forward to the better weather, when I can go camping. Have a good time, Big H. |

Hello from HugoSnow today, so I went out and played. Eric gave me a cap to wear and a tray to slide on - it was great fun, and you can see some photos. It is nearly Christmas, and I am getting very excited. Eric has hidden my present in the wardrobe, and he thinks I couldn't get in and see it - LOL. I climbed a big tree in the garden, and it was like being in the jungle. There was light snow everywhere, and I quickly got cold. I am back indoors now. I won't go out again today, unless it snows some more. I am hoping for a white Christmas! See you soon, Big H. |
