Just one blog entry this month, as I've been in hospital, and had a triple heart bypass operation! It has been a lifetime experience of suffering and emotion all in one short period. It started with an angiogram at my local hospital, but the results were serious, and I was transferred to a famous London hospital the same day. After a few days I had the operation, stayed for a few days recovery, and then was discharged on Easter Monday. Since then I have been resting at home. Pain has been the great difficulty, and as I have increased the pain killer medication, I have also managed to do a little more each day. I am progressing well, and can already do many things that I had thought would take longer to achieve. There is a way to go, but I am pleased with my progress, and now look forward to a new lease of life. However I must watch the calories and cholesterol more closely. I am eternally grateful to the nursing and medical staff, and wonder at their dedication. I slipped into and out of the system, but they are there day after day, dealing with people at all levels and surviving the production line of body processing. They are wonderful.
